A soft, smooth and supple skin can take your confidence to that height you were dreaming for. A natural glow on your skin comes with proper care of your skin. Skin products available in the market take away the natural oil from your skin and make it dull and dry.

A moisturizing will protect your skin from moisture loss, helping to keep it soft, smooth and supple. It will also protect your skin from the penetration of grime, chemicals and bacteria. We all need moisturizers, even those of us with the most oily skin, but obviously it’s important to choose the correct one for your skin type.

Apply moisturizer to your skin while it is still slightly damp from balancing. This enhances the moisturizing effect. Spread it gently, first on to your neck then up on to your face being careful not to drag the skin – particularly around the delicate eye area.

Make sure you use moisturizer with vegetable oil base. Mineral oil is not compatible with skin so baby lotion and petroleum jelly products are therefore best avoided.

Many people who are obese strive to lose the extra weight, only to be disappointed after the weight is lost. They are disappointed because after their weight loss surgery or natural weight loss, they have excess skin. That skin causes them to be unable to see the results they got from the weight loss.

Because of that, many people are choosing to go to a plastic surgeon for body contouring. When they choose this method for excess skin removal, they are able to get a comprehensive solution to the sagging and excess skin that is on their body.

With body contouring, a plastic surgeon will do two things. First, the surgeon will work to improve the tissue that supports fat and skin. Often after large weight loss, that tissue is lumpy, so the surgeon will work to smooth it back out.

Then, the surgeon will go through a surgical process for excess skin removal. The process will include a lower body lift, arm lift, and thigh lift.

There are some things patients must keep in mind before they go through body contouring surgery for excess skin removal. They need to make sure their weight is stable, as they do not want to continue to lose weight after the surgery as that could cause excess skin to reappear.

The right candidate will also not go through a weight gain, as that can reduce the effects of body contouring surgery. Also, good candidates are healthy and will be able to recover from the surgery in a short period of time.

Many people find that weight loss surgery or natural weight loss is not enough in the quest for the body they want. Because of that, people are using plastic surgeons for excess skin removal so they can have pride in their bodies. For most, body contouring is the last step needed in order to get the body they want.

Manicures can enhance a man’s image if the job he has demands clean hands and wherein clean nails are seen more often. These professions include the sales profession, business, performing arts etc. You must have observed that these jobs require a lot of handshakes or hand-waving and chances of fingers getting exposed is more. Hence the requirement to keep finger nails clean and cut. For a sales person, sometimes personal hygiene can make or break a sale. In the same way, during business meetings, handshakes are common. If fingernails are not cut or trimmed properly, it can cause scratches on the palm of the other person shaking hand and who knows, you may even lose a business contract. So, you see how important manicures are for men in these professions.

It is ironic, but there are some professions where men should not get manicure. These include physical labor and jobs involving machines. Clean and manicured nails may lead to chipping when lifting and shifting heavy loads.

All said and done, a manicure is essential for the modern man. While it is essential, the question that arises is how to take care of your nails and how often? Some men prefer to handle their nails on their own instead of going to a nail salon or spa. In that case, the finger nails need to be trimmed carefully so as to avoid any injury. Some men prefer trimming nails up to cuticles. When doing this, use of a nail-cutter or clipper should be encouraged. First, wash hands in warm water with soap. Then, using a cutter or clipper trim the nail as required. Apply oil so as to make fingers soft. After that, again wash with cold water and soap. This will complete nail trimming and cleaning. It is better to trim and cut nails often, say weekly.

Thus, men need not feel shy or embarrassed about manicures as this is considered as a part of good hygiene and grooming process. If they do not want to visit a spa or salon, manicure can be also done at home with no cost at all. Clean fingers and nails can also prevent gastrointestinal diseases if the mode of eating food is by hand and fingers instead of spoon and fork.

Curling Straight Hair

Do you have straight hair? Are you jealous of all those gorgeous curls on your friends and on celebrities? Curls are in right now. If you have straight hair, you are in luck because it’s not that hard to get curls as well. It will take a little bit more work, but it is possible.

First, you need to wash and condition your hair. Make sure your hair is clean and well moisturized. A curling iron can be very drying to your hair, so you need to make sure your hair is as moisturized as possible. If you can, use a deep conditioning treatment beforehand for soft hair and the best results. Also, use a moisturizing shampoo. If you have oily hair, concentrate the moisture away from the scalp. With oily hair, it’s the top that gets greasy often leaving the rest look dry.

Next, either let your hair air dry, or blow dry it. Add a defrizz serum if you would like before you blow dry. Blow dry it straight so that you end up with a clean slate. One good idea is to wash it the night before and then let it air dry overnight so that it’s dry by the morning. This will also help minimize the heat and damage you put on your hair.

When your hair is ready, make sure you have all your tools: a comb or brush, a medium sized barrel curling iron, hair gel, hair spray. The size barrel you use will depend on your hair. If it’s very straight and seems impossible to curl, use a smaller barrel to make sure it starts off curlier and then if it loses some of the curl, it still looks nice. You could use just gel or just hairspray, but it will hold better if you use both.

Eyebrow Shaping

Posted by Deepak Shrivastava | Eye, Eye Care, Genral Health, Hair, Hair care, Knowladge, News, Skin, Skin Care, Tips, waxing | Friday 3 October 2008 6:51 pm

Your eyebrows shape your eye and define how your eyes are seen and so need to be considered in any beauty routine. However many people do not pay much attention to our eyebrows.

Many women will do their own eyebrows, which is fine, but it is important to remember not to over pluck them. If eyebrows are over plucked then they will often have no clear definition which, instead of opening and lifting up a face, actually has the opposite effect.

There are a number of eyebrow shaping methods that can be used to get the perfect eyebrow and three of the most popular are waxing, threading and electrolysis.

Eyebrow Waxing

Eyebrow waxing is nothing new and many women have been doing it for decades. It isn’t overly expensive and it lasts between three and ten weeks, depending upon the woman and her natural hair growth pattern.

Both hot and cold waxing is usually available at most spas and even at many salons. The wax can be applied in a specific way to help shape the brows or it can be applied to those straggling hairs that just won’t behave. After wax application and the appropriate waiting period is complete, a special tape strip is placed on top of the wax and then pulled off in a straight, fast, ripping motion.

The consequences of waxing may include red, irritated skin, a slight burning or itchy feeling, or even a minor rash in the area where the wax was applied. This can often be soothed with a cotton ball dipped in cold water. Once the irritation or itchiness subsides, an application of moisturiser can help to re-hydrate the skin.
