Weight Loss Diet For Everybody

The Glycemic Impact Diet, which is based on the Glycemic Index is highly popular. Many such diets have been around for last several years. The GI Diet in particular has been popular in Europe for a long time. eDiets have now introduced their version of the GI weight loss diet in their popular on-line format (eDiets are an excellent resource for weight loss and are highly recommended).

Foods with a low Glycemic Index value (the 0-100 index ranks foods based on the effect they have on blood sugar levels) very slowly release sugar into your blood, providing with a steady supply of energy, and leaving you feeling satisfied longer so that you’re less likely to snack.

Diets based on GI index encourage people to eat foods with a low GI value and avoid those with a high GI value. Most GI weight loss programs also recommend cutting down on fat, especially saturated fats. This means many of the foods which have a low GI value but are high in fat are still not enough.
